You know, the one you watch more than any other movie. The one you can quote line for line, and describe shot for shot. I’ve probably got a dozen movies that have never been freed from their cellophane prison, and yet I just popped in “The Hunt for the Red October” for at least the 50th time.
What’s your movie? Or are you not a weirdo like me?
![]() 08/10/2016 at 22:32 |

One? I’ve probably got about 50 of them.

all things studio ghibli, handy as I have kids now.
shawshank redemption is a movie i will watch anytime it is on

I have many as well, but Red October definitely gets the most spins. What do you watch most?

Can’t quote it word for word, but Big Fish. Absolutely wonderful movie.

My Neighbor Totoro is in pretty heavy rotation with my girls.
I too will watch Shawshank anytime I see it on, but I don’t own it.

Office Space
Austin Powers
Robin Hood Men in Tights
History of the World, Part 1
Zoolander
Spaceballs
Smokey and the Bandit
The Blues Brothers
I tend to do comedies...
![]() 08/10/2016 at 22:39 |

I thought I was the only one who liked Robinhood: Men in Tights!

Such a great theme.
My movie?
A very, very close second:

Gotta be Star Wars or Indiana Jones. All of them.
The 1989 Batman is up there as well.

Coneheads and Galaxy Quest

Coneheads! Wow, I did not see that coming!
I’ve heard Galaxy Quest is pretty good, one of these days I’ll get around to it.
![]() 08/10/2016 at 22:45 |

Rush is one of them.

possibly more sad, i do own it. but will watch with ads even when i see it on.

Love that one. I also love Sum of All Fears as well. Aflac plays a convincing “I’m just an analyst.” And the score is beautifully haunting.
I also love Tron: Legacy. Yes it is basically just a very long Daft Punk music video with dialogue; two words Olivia Wilde.
Also Ghost Busters (the original)
The Fifth Element, The Transporter 1 and 3. (I refuse to acknowledge there is a number 2.) Ronin. Wasabi. (Clearly I enjoy Luc Besson movies)
The Ghost And The Darkness.
Kingdom of Heaven.
We have a very extensive collection of films. I need to watch THFRO again. It's been more than a month.
![]() 08/10/2016 at 22:50 |

Die Hard
Terminator 1 & 2
The Princess Bride
I probably have a few more, but I have a terrible memory.
![]() 08/10/2016 at 22:52 |

Do it! It’s an amazing film, and IMO, Tim Burton’s best. The end is the best ending I’ve ever seen.

Rush is fantastic!

big lebowski. the first 3/4. in high school we watched it almost weekly, every other month now. But the weird thing about quoting is basically only the first 3/4s-ish of the movie? Basically I can’t quote shit past where jackie treehorn drugs the dude. I used to get drunk and pass out, now I just get tired/bored and never finish it.
![]() 08/10/2016 at 22:55 |

I’ll do the same thing with movies I do own. So here’s the weird thing, whenever I’ve seen a movie with ads in it that I do own, those times that I chose to put the DVD in ... I got this bizzare lonely feeling.
![]() 08/10/2016 at 22:56 |

Die Hard I watch a lot as well. I also love the third one, Die Hard With a Vengeance.

Predator
Commando
Cobra
Kickboxer
Bloodsport
Herbert the Love Bug (original circa 1968)
Le Mans
Grand Prix - James Garner the OG

Ha! We watched Predator so many times when I was a kid. It was probably my dad’s favorite movie (he didn’t buy in to that don’t show kids violent movies crap!). My guilty Arnold pleasure is Commando.
Gotta love Goodfellas. It always annoyed me that you had to flip the DVD in the middle of it.

I only watched Sum of All Fears once, but I do remember liking it and thinking Aflak did a good job.

I watch Pulp Fiction the most, but anything Wes Anderson gets watched pretty regularly too. I used to watch Monsters all the time, but I haven't in a while for some reason

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. But I have to be in the mood for that one. I typically watch Guy Ritchie and Christopher Nolan movies repeatedly.

Original star wars trilogy
Entrapment
James Bond series
Band of brothers

Red October is my fav action drama, hands down. Can’t even say how many times I’ve watched it. I also do a killer Ramius and Adm Painter impression.

Supertroopers.

That’s in pretty heavy rotation as well.

Love Red October. Go to movies are 2001: A Space Odyssey, Terminator 2, BTTF 1&2, Office Space, The Simpsons Movie, Interstellar (the score is amazing) and The Thing (because why not be scared of alien goop).

I am suspending your Oppo privileges until you watch Galaxy Quest.
I've probably watched Coneheads 30 times. My children say I am the epitome of Beldar Conehead. This was Dan Akroyd's finest acting effort by far. We've liked him in other things, but he's not a good actor.

There are a few movies, when they are on TV, I’ll stop and watch.
The first and foremost is this.
Probably the second is either one of the three from the Trilogy.

Snatch is great. I just watched RocknRolla the other night.

O brother! Where art thou?, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Commando, Beerfest, Kung Fu Hustle, The Dark Knight, Blazing Saddles and Spaceballs
Also, if you haven’t seen Dirty Work with Norm McDonald, do it.

Predator is such a great movie, I'll watch any Arnold Schwarzenegger flick. If it's not good, it's hilarious anyways.
![]() 08/11/2016 at 00:23 |

Blues Brothers is awesome, if for nothing but the soundtrack alone.
![]() 08/11/2016 at 00:24 |

Hell yeah another Bloodsport and Commando fan!
![]() 08/11/2016 at 00:29 |

I’ve seen it, good stuff. My favorites from your list are Commando and Space Balls.
Commando is my guilty Arnold pleasure. So bad, but so perfect.

Midnight Run and Rain Man for years in the 1990s and early 2000s ...
later Behind Enemy Lines,
HBO television series From the Earth to the Moon on DVD,
and HBO series Band of Brothers on DVD and later Blu-Ray discs
![]() 08/11/2016 at 03:18 |

Yup. I also kind of liked Blues Brothers 2000 as well, and not just for the music alone.

Die Hard. Pacific Rim. Spaceballs. Young Frankenstein. Die Hard.
Probably just say Die Hard and leave it at that. John McLane For President!

I’ve seen that movie probably just as many times. I saw it in the theater when I was in high school.

Die Hard is definitely another go-to for me. I also love Die Hard With a Vengance.

I think I was 10 or 11 when it first made it to HBO. I remember watching it with my dad one afternoon. I didn't understand a lot of what was going on, but I still loved it.

Any Die Hard comes on TV, I stop what I’m doing. Die hard comes up in my Plex window, I stop what I’m doing. I then watch Die Hard.

Haven’t watched the full thing in a while, but in high school my friends and I watched Talladega Nights at least once a week, for months on end. During college, Despicable Me and Forrest Gump. Now, The World’s Fastest Indian. Red October is another of my favorites, but it’s been quite a while since I’ve seen that one.

Original Star Wars trilogy

some of the best car chase scenes in cinematic history. Due to a limited budget, they would crash the same vehicle 3 or 4 times, just changing the camera angle so the audience couldn’t see the previous damage. The sequel to this movie, The Junkman, holds the world record for most vehicles destroyed in a movie (150). Note that is far less than the number or crashes, as they used the same technique of crashing the same vehicle multiple times.

If you like Luc Besson you need to watch Léon the Professional.

I have. Many times. Gary Oldman is spectacular in that.

Oh yeah, and Steven Segal.
